3X1 //resto, bar, salon de thé//

I have some new Parisian food addresses to share with you. As you know Paris is famous for its Asian restaurants, some of them are really good, some are a bad copy of real Asian food, some serve ‘fusion’ food.

This Cambodgian restaurant is really special and pretty popular in Paris, it’s called simply  Le Camodge. It is a nice place to grab a dinner with yours friends near Canal Saint Martin, popular part of the city where the young people are hanging out on the boards of the canal (quais du canal St.Martin). It’s quite ‘populas‘ in other words-there is always a lot of students. It is a place where you can find some cool restaurants and bars. If you are searching for something more fancy you should go elsewhere.  I tried the famous BOBUN (on the picture) and I liked it a lot so every time I went there again I had the same thing :p. It’s a cold noodle salad which I never finished because of its enormous quantity.

David Lebovitz explained it so well “a bowl of sliced cucumbers of mung beans gets topped with cold rice noodles, then meat or prawns are served on top, finished with roasted peanuts and sliced scallions, with the option of deep-friend spring rolls tucked in the bowl as well” so I won’t event try to find another definition :) Even though the ingredients can vary it’s pretty much the same thing. Bobuns are from 9 to 14 euros.

10 avenue Richerand, 75010 Paris. Open from Monday to Thursday from 19h until 23h; from Wednesday to Sunday from 19h until 23h30. Closed on Sundays. (come around 19h!)

We are moving from the 10th arrondisement which is more bohème to the 16th arr which is the other word for bourgeois. La Gare is one of our favorite bars in  the16th arrondissement.

We love it for its details as well for the easy going atmosphere. In other words: you don’ t have to drink your coffee fast because people are queuing in front of the restaurant to…take your place. No, here you are safe from this kind of horrible Parisian habit!

And finally we appriciate it for its originality. Would you eat this if your mother give it to you? NOO! But served like this, who could resist? :D

This little voyage gourmandise ends in the 13th arr. Precisely on the address 119 Rue de la Glacière. Tea thé tcha is a perfect intimate salon de thé where you can buy teas, mélanges (mixes) made by the owner, Monsieur Patrick Loustalot Barbé  who is very kind. On our menu: great, simple home made brunch/breakfast (cca. 10e). It’s closed on Sundays and for the brunch on Saturday come before 12:00. It feels like heaven to be in this tea heaven!
